Pundaquit in Zambales

Pundaquit beach is clean and full of fishes. You can swim there and snorkeling at the same time. It is located at San Antonio, Zambales. You will also found coral reefs at the far side of the seashore near to mountains.

It is the terminal of boats going to other islands near the area such as Anawangin Cove. The sand there is fine. If you will stay there, you need to rent a cottage there which they offer also overnight stay. If you have a friend there or know someone there, you can take discount about the price of cottage plus the rent of boat if you will go to other islands. Since one of my friend's auntie know the owner of the cottages we rented, they gave us discount which we really enjoy on our two days and one night stay there. I can't post a price here since the price of renting a cottage there is depending on which cottage rental you will rent.

During our overnight stay there, you can watch the sunset in front of you. There is no limitations in swimming overnight at the sea. You just need to be careful and be aware of yourself during your night swimming. We made a bonfire and have a bonding during the night. People don't mind if you will drink alcohol there but you should observe cleanliness after your drinking and bonding session at night.

Don't forget to bring your sunblocks and slippers because during afternoon, the sand gets very hot. They have also a cooking place there where you can cook bar-b-q foods and comfort rooms that you have to pay 5 for using the toilet and 10 pesos for using the shower.

How to get there:

1. Go to one of the Victory Liner bus stations and get yourself a ticket to either a bus going to Iba Zambales or Sta Cruz Zambales. Both trips will pass by the town of San Antonio. Dropped off in front of the town proper near the public market. Travel time is 5 to 6 hours from Manila.

2. Tricycle are everywhere almost 24 hours a day. Most of the time, they will call your attention from every direction and ask you to take their vehicles for the ride. Just call the nearest one and say Pundaquit Then they’ll take you there for only P60 for every 2 passengers and an extra P30 for an extra head. Travel time is 10 to 15 minutes.
